Meet Robert Tinkler
How I Work
My reasons for becoming a financial professional are deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help people better prepare for the future. After over twenty years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. I feel a commitment to my community.
Robert Tinkler
Certified Financial Planner and Owner
My passion lies in helping clients build wealth and witnessing their goals become reality. Being part of their lives and using my knowledge of business and finance to make a positive impact is incredibly fulfilling. My financial career began in auditing financial services companies, where I spent my days identifying others' mistakes. While it was valuable experience, I longed for a more personal connection, which led me to personal financial planning. Here, I can learn about individual dreams and provide tailored solutions. Goal-oriented planning is at the heart of what I do. While chasing hot stocks can be exciting, building a long-term portfolio can be life-changing.
I have over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. My journey began in the accounting sector in 1998 as an auditor with Deloitte. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, I transitioned to becoming a Financial Advisor in 2001. With a focus on personal financial planning and wealth management, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2002. Joining Raymond James Financial Services in 2010 allowed me to offer objective and independent advice to my clients. In recent years, I transitioned to LPL Financial, which paved the way for me to establish RTT Capital Group, where I continue to provide personalized financial guidance and support.
Originally from The Bronx, I moved to Connecticut as a child. My wife, Kara, and I have three children—Molly, Hudson, and Paige—along with our dog, Willow, and a cat named Bobby Flay. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, strumming the guitar, and engaging in home projects and woodworking. I hold a degree from St. Joseph's University and am proud to be both a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Public Accountant.
